About us
The Open Space Philosophy
Being human first, in work and life.
Open Space Academy is built around one belief: being human first, in work and life.
We help people and organisations create space to breathe, regulate emotion, and reconnect with what matters. Because sustainable performance, meaningful relationships and healthy cultures all begin with how humans feel, think and show up.
For individuals
We support busy people who want to feel clearer, calmer and more connected to themselves. Through 1:1 mentoring, group programmes, events and retreats, we teach practical mind skills that help people navigate pressure, regulate emotion and grow on their own terms.
For organisations
We partner with businesses to build human-centred cultures where performance holds up under pressure instead of burning people out. Our consulting work strengthens leadership, employee experience, wellbeing and sustainable performance, recognising that a thriving organisation is only as strong as the individuals inside it.
For universities
The same human-performance approach, aimed at student experience, aspiration, resilience and staff, consulting plus programmes.
Why Open Space
Why people join Open Space
Because modern life is relentless, and being “high functioning” doesn’t mean you’re where you want to be, or feeling how you want to feel, in your career or in your life.
Open Space is for people who are:
- Wanting to take a moment to look after themselves, versus looking after everyone else around them
- Time-poor, with a mind constantly on the go, needing practical tools that actually help day to day to self-regulate and calm
- With high aspirations over their life and futures, evolving and growing on their terms
This isn’t therapy.
It’s skills training for modern life: cope better, think more clearly, and move forward with confidence.

Founded by Sarah Bohn, Open Space Academy blends leadership, talent and culture expertise with evidence-based mind skills. It’s a space where personal growth and organisational growth reinforce each other. Recognising people make businesses.
Let’s see how this ages, but for now, I still believe it to be TRUE.
How I work
My approach blends MBCT, psychology, neuroscience and human-centred strategy. It’s warm, practical and science-led. No perfectionism, no pressure, just tools that help you show up in a way that serves you (and often those around you).
