One Tiny Thing to Try Before Walking Into a Room That Intimidates You

Before you walk into a room that intimidates you, that spikes the imposter syndrome feeling, or “good enough” fear in the pit of your stomach, the room that spikes your nervous system into dysregulation; take a second or two to pause. Notice your feet on the ground. Drop your shoulders. Take a second to reflect on what you’re bringing to the room. And hold the door handle while you notice three things. Your breath, your feet and what you bring. It’ll help ground you, slow down your nervous system and give you a simple way of reconnecting to why you should and are, in the room.
